KYRGYZSTAN

The images capture a journey through vast, open landscapes and quiet, remote environments, with sweeping mountains, empty roads, and wide skies dominating the frame. There’s a strong focus on scale and isolation, often placing a single figure or moment within an expansive setting. Alongside this, there are small, grounded details—people, movement, and everyday scenes—that contrast the enormity of the surroundings. Overall, the content feels like a balance between exploration and reflection, documenting both the physical journey through Kyrgyzstan and the quieter, more personal moments within it.

“Earlier this year I tried to get into film school and didn’t get in, so instead of stopping, I went out to see something different. Filming in Kyrgyzstan became less about proving anything and more about experiencing the world properly. I was capturing vast landscapes, open roads, and quiet moments that felt completely removed from routine, letting the scale and unfamiliarity shape the work. It’s a reflection of stepping away from expectation and choosing to explore, using the camera to take in a place that felt raw, expansive and full of perspective.”
