GOING PLACES

SHOT BY MICHAEL J FILER

The videos focus on movement, transition, and the idea of going somewhere both physically and mentally, capturing journeys rather than destinations. They follow moments of travel, walking, driving, and passing through spaces, using these actions to reflect a sense of progression or change. The content feels less about where you end up and more about the experience of getting there, built through small observations, environments, and in-between moments. Overall, they present a quiet exploration of escape, direction, and the feeling of moving forward, rather than a fixed narrative.

“My intention was to capture the feeling of moving, not just physically, but mentally. I wasn’t focused on the destination, I was drawn to the in between moments, the shifts, the sense of leaving something behind and heading toward something unknown. It’s about that constant pull forward, the quiet need to go somewhere, even if you don’t fully know where that is.”
