BORDERLINE BTS
SHOT BY MICHAEL J FILER
The aim was to capture behind the scenes photography across a three day short film shoot in a way that reflects not just the process, but the spirit of the film itself. Rather than simply documenting what was happening, the focus was on observing the quieter, more intentional moments where cast and crew shape the work through collaboration, movement, and concentration.

The approach balanced an awareness of the technical craft with a sensitivity to tone, using light, composition, and timing to mirror the themes and emotional weight of the film. Small gestures, expressions, and in between moments became just as important as the larger setups, helping to build a sense of atmosphere that feels connected to the story being told.
